Managing Performance, Attendance and Wellbeing Inclusively

Supporting people while maintaining effective performance

Two people stand behind a glass wall covered in orange and blue sticky notes, discussing ideas. One, a white woman with short grey hair, holds a piece of paper and a marker, while the other, a black man with a slightly greying goatee, holds a pencil near their mouth, appearing deep in thought. A plant is visible in the background, and the setting looks like a bright, informal workspace.

Managing employee performance, attendance and wellbeing can be challenging, particularly when disability, neurodivergence, mental health or long-term health conditions may be impacting someone’s experience at work.

Managers need to support employees fairly while also maintaining clear expectations, consistent standards and the operational needs of the organisation.

Managing Performance, Attendance and Wellbeing Inclusively equips managers with the confidence and practical skills to identify concerns early, have constructive conversations, understand workplace barriers and provide appropriate support while maintaining accountability.

Participants explore performance, capability, conduct, disability-related absence, wellbeing, reasonable adjustments and return-to-work conversations through realistic workplace scenarios.

The course highlights that effective support and effective performance management are not opposing approaches. They work together to create fair, inclusive and high-performing teams.
