The Good Access Calendar: What’s On in August 2026

Join us online for a live stream on ‘designing accessible presentations’ or in-person to find out how to make your workplace more accessible.

Summer is finally knocking on the door. The days are longer, calendars are filling up with holidays, barbecues, and well-deserved time with family and friends, and many of us are already counting down to our next summer adventure!

But while some things take a seasonal break, accessibility isn’t one of them.

Accessibility doesn’t go on holiday. It doesn’t pause for summer. It travels with us to airports, hotels, restaurants, festivals, websites, apps, customer service channels, and workplaces. It matters every day of the year, wherever people live, work, shop, learn, and connect.

That’s why we have put together our Good Access Calendar for July 2026, featuring a selection of online and in-person events in the UK.

This is an event poster with a cobalt blue background with decorative circles in peach and light blue in the corners. “July Events” sits in a large white text box top left and the "good access calendar" logo next to it.
Each event has its own cream rounded box with the date on the left.
The event details; when, what, and where are in the centre of each box, and a small icon sits on the right of each event showing either a globe (for online) or a presentation board (for in-person).
The events that are listed are:
+ 7th July — Good Access Explained: Designing accessible presentations. Online Webinar
+ 8th July — The rise of inclusive companies: Make your workplace more accessible. Reigate
+ 14th July — Good Access Explained: Creating internal policies. Online Webinar
+ 21st July — Good Access Explained: Writing clear copy. Online Webinar
+ 28th July — Good Access Explained: Designing for Dyslexia. Online Webinar
+ 29th July — Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, Open session in Redhill
+ 31st July — Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, Open session in Brighton
+ 31st July — Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, Open session in Guildford
The bottom has the URL of the company written in blue: TheGoodConsultingCompany.co.uk

Whether you’re just starting your accessibility journey or looking to strengthen existing initiatives, these events offer valuable opportunities to learn from experts, connect with peers, and discover practical strategies that improve both user experiences and business performance.

Because accessibility isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s also a smart business decision. Organisations that embrace inclusive practices can reach wider audiences, improve customer satisfaction, strengthen their brand reputation, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

We hope this month’s calendar inspires more organisations to take the next step towards accessibility and inclusion. We look forward to seeing companies, leaders, and professionals from every sector joining the conversation and turning accessibility into meaningful action.

In-person event at Reigate on Wednesday 8 July 2026: How to make your workplace more accessible

This is an event poster with a light orange background and the details of the session.
At the top part of the image we see that it's an in-person seminar in Reigate with a map icon.
In the middle of the image it reads the title of the event: "The rise of inclusive companies". Underneath the subtitle "How to make your workplace more accessible".
Below the title and subtitle we see a headshot of the speaker: Heike Jord Knit, CEO and Co-Founder of The Good Consulting Company as well as the logo of TGCC.
On the bottom right corner we see a drawing of the Old Town Hall of Reigate.

Did you know that…?

  • 62% of employees would reject a job offer from an organisation that isn’t inclusive.
  • UK retailers lose up to £17 billion a year by failing to meet the needs of shoppers with disabilities.

In this 2-hour session, Heike J. Knip, CEO of The Good Consulting Company will talk about this and will present how organisations can make their workplace more accessible for everyone.

When? Wednesday 8th of July 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM BST

Where? At the Reigate Community Centre, High Street, Reigate RH2 9AE. The centre is behind Reigate Methodist Church, which was built between two older buildings, so it doesn’t have a street number, but the nearest is 53 High Street

Launching “Good Access Explained”

At The Good Consulting Company, accessibility is at the heart of everything we do. Every day, we see examples of organisations getting accessibility right—and many others missing opportunities to create more inclusive experiences for their customers, employees, and stakeholders.

That’s why we’re launching Good Access Explaineda new weekly LinkedIn Live series designed to help organisations understand accessibility in a practical, straightforward, and business-focused way.

Join us every Tuesday at 10:00 am BST on LinkedIn as we explore a different accessibility topic each week. Our aim is to demonstrate that becoming more accessible doesn’t have to be complicated and that the benefits extend far beyond compliance. From improving customer experiences to reaching wider audiences and strengthening business performance, there is a great deal to gain from embracing accessibility.

By hosting these sessions live on LinkedIn, we’re making it easy for anyone to participate, wherever they are in the world and whatever their role or industry. The insights, examples, and practical advice shared during these sessions can benefit organisations of all sizes and sectors.

Below, you will find the topics we have selected for July 2026. We hope you will find them valuable and join us live. Feel free to register for as many sessions as you would like. We would love to see you there!

Who should attend?

A landscape-oriented presentation slide titled "Is this for me?" features the subtitle "Are you a leader who knows equity = profit?" in blue text at the top left. The slide background is light blue, accented by curved abstract shapes in pale pink and dark blue along the right and bottom-right edges.
The left portion contains a text-based "This is for you if..." section with four bullet points detailed in a small, sans-serif font:
First Bullet: "You are losing top-tier candidates because your digital recruitment tools or physical interview spaces accidentally filter out disabled talent before day one."
Second Bullet: "You are burning time and budget on late-stage project redesigns and alignment fixes that could be cut by 75% by embedding inclusive design early."
Third Bullet: "You are locking your own staff out of core workflows because your internal systems, portals, or office infrastructures lack proper accessibility standards."
Fourth Bullet: "You want to stop leaving money on the table and learn how to position your organisation to tap into a $13 trillion global market."
The right half of the banner shows a group of five smiling professionals standing side-by-side, framed within a large, fluid, wave-like cutout. The group consists of three men and two women wearing business-casual attire, including button-down shirts and blazers, posed against a glass partition with a faint dot pattern.

The conversations taking place across our July events are designed specifically to help leaders, HR teams, DEI professionals, marketers, digital teams, and decision-makers understand what accessibility looks like in practice, how to implement meaningful changes, and how to build organisations that are both inclusive and commercially resilient.

Accessibility is not a trend. It is a long-term business priority, a growth opportunity, and a reflection of the kind of organisations we want to build for the future.

The disabled market is waiting for your organisation to serve them. The question is: are you ready to serve that market or prefer to wait and continue losing money every month?

As many organisations prepare for the summer break, we encourage you to take a moment to explore the events featured in this month’s calendar. Whether you’re attending from the office, your home workspace, or even a sunny terrace, there’s never a bad time to learn more about accessibility and inclusion.

We’ll be back after the summer with even more opportunities to learn, connect, and take action. After all, accessibility isn’t seasonal—it matters every day of the year.

The organisations that embrace accessibility today are not only creating better experiences for everyone; they are also positioning themselves for long-term success. By reaching wider audiences, attracting diverse talent, and building more inclusive products and services, accessibility is increasingly proving to be a business advantage, not just a compliance exercise.

Enjoy the summer, and we look forward to continuing the conversation in the months ahead.
