June 2026 – Global Accessibility Awareness Day

The Good Consulting Company is all about accessibility and helping organisations become more inclusive. This is not only to make the world a better place, which is a fundamental part of our mission as a company, but also to emphasise that the disability market exists — and it is up to organisations worldwide to recognise its value and start offering accessible services and products that meet everybody’s needs.

Today, 21 May 2026, we celebrate the Global Accessibility Awareness Day, but in fact, for our team today it’s business as usual because we envision accessibility and inclusion as much a part of everyone’s daily life as their morning coffee: essential!

As such, we are launching a complete agenda for next month, June 2026, and we hope to see you at some of our events, whether through our online webinars or our in-person sessions taking place across the UK.

The Good Access Calendar: June 2026

The Good Consulting Company goes where accessibility can be improved

Below, you will find the details of each event, the topics we will be exploring, and the registration links to secure your spot:

Online webinar on 2 June 2026: The purple Pound/The purple Euro – Disabled spending power across Europe

This is an event poster with a cobalt blue background and the details of the session.
At the top part of the image we see three tags in white background that present who the event is for: CFO, CMO, CDO/CTO
In the middle of the image it reads the title of the event: "A market larger than China's GDP". Underneath the subtitle "The $18.3 Trillion Fiction Gap. Disabled Spending Power Across Europe".
Below the title and subtitle we see a headshot of the speaker: Heike Jord Knit, CEO and Co-Founder of The Good Consulting Company as well as the logo of TGCC.
On the right side of the image we see an inaccessibility cost receipt that highlights the spending power lost globally, which is $18.3 TRILLION

Failing to design for accessibility is no longer just a “social” oversight, it is an $18.3 trillion financial leak across Europe. In this webinar we will dive into the European Accessibility Act (EAA) that is currently in full force. Now, businesses face a stark choice: capture the “Purple Euro” or face steep fines and market exclusion. Join us for a C-Suite exchange on why inclusive design is the ultimate ROI strategy for 2026.

When? Tuesday 2 June 2026 at 10:00 AM BST / 11:00 AM CET

In-person event at Redhill on Tuesday 9 June 2026: The rise of inclusive companies – How to make your workplace more accessible

This is an event poster with a cobalt blue background and the details of the session.
At the top part of the image we see three tags in white background that present who the event is for: CEO, CPO, CDO/CTO.
In the middle of the image it reads the title of the event: "The rise of inclusive companies". Underneath the subtitle "How to make your workplace more accessible".
Below the title and subtitle we see a headshot of the speaker: Heike Jord Knit, CEO and Co-Founder of The Good Consulting Company as well as the logo of TGCC.

Did you know that…?

  • 62% of employees would reject a job offer from an organisation that isn’t inclusive.
  • UK retailers lose up to £17 billion a year by failing to meet the needs of shoppers with disabilities.

In this 2-hour session, Heike J. Knip, CEO of The Good Consulting Company will talk about this and will present how organisations can make their workplace more accessible for everyone.

When? Tuesday 9 June 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM BST

Where? At 60 Station Rd, Redhill RH1 1PE (Door is opposite of Connells Estate Agent). Seminar room, 2nd  floor.

Online webinar on 16 June 2026: Spend $1 get $100 return – Accessibility is an economic decision

This is an event poster with a cobalt blue background and the details of the session.
At the top part of the image we see three tags in white background that present who the event is for: CEO, CPO, CDO/CTO
In the middle of the image it reads the title of the event: "Spend $1 get $100 return". Underneath the subtitle "Accessibility is an economic decision".
Below the title and subtitle we see a headshot of the speaker: Caitlin Quinn, Chief of Creative Access at The Good Consulting Company as well as the logo of TGCC.
On the right side we see some decorative bars in red, light blue and light orange.

Inclusive practices are not just ethical. They are financially sound: Return on accessibility can be up to $100 for every $1 invested. This is a hundred to one. That is not corporate social responsibility return, that is a clear business return. If any other initiative in your business portfolio delivered that number, you would scale it immediately.

In this online webinar, Caitlin Quinn, Chief of Access Design at The Good Consulting Company, will cover why failing to invest in accessibility costs organisations more in the long run and will present options to help you make the case to leadership.

When? Tuesday 16 June 2026 at 10:00 AM BST / 11:00 AM CET

In this 2-hour session, Heike J. Knip, CEO of The Good Consulting Company will repeat the same session described above for our audience in Brighton to highlight the potential of the disabled market in UK. Additionally, we will also present a few tips to help organisations make their workplace more accessible for everyone.

The rise of inclusive organisations

We see the cover of the "How to lose a guy in 10 days" Hollywood movie where the text is changed.
Instead of the main actors names' at the top, it reads:
+ "Inaccessible Design"
+ "Government Fines"
On the bottom part, instead of the movie title, it reads:
+ "How to Lose $18.3 TRILLION"
Underneath this, it reads "One of them is losing clients. The other one is losing a lawsuit." This refers to the two main characters in the movie that appear in the center of the image.

Over the coming months, we will continue expanding our calendar with even more opportunities for organisations to learn, connect, and act. Because the reality is clear: the disability market is no longer a niche audience to consider “later”. It is one of the largest underserved markets globally, representing millions of consumers, employees, and decision-makers with significant purchasing power and influence.

For businesses, accessibility is no longer simply about compliance or reputation management. It is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage. Organisations that invest in accessible customer experiences, inclusive recruitment, accessible digital products, and disability confidence are seeing stronger customer loyalty, broader market reach, improved innovation, and better talent retention.

At the same time, companies that delay action risk more than missed opportunities. They risk excluding potential customers, losing valuable talent, and falling behind competitors that already understand the commercial value of inclusion. As accessibility legislation continues to evolve globally, forward-thinking organisations are recognising that proactive adaptation is far more effective — and far less costly — than reactive change.

Who should attend?

A landscape-oriented presentation slide titled "Is this for me?" features the subtitle "Are you a leader who knows equity = profit?" in blue text at the top left. The slide background is light blue, accented by curved abstract shapes in pale pink and dark blue along the right and bottom-right edges.
The left portion contains a text-based "This is for you if..." section with four bullet points detailed in a small, sans-serif font:
First Bullet: "You are losing top-tier candidates because your digital recruitment tools or physical interview spaces accidentally filter out disabled talent before day one."
Second Bullet: "You are burning time and budget on late-stage project redesigns and alignment fixes that could be cut by 75% by embedding inclusive design early."
Third Bullet: "You are locking your own staff out of core workflows because your internal systems, portals, or office infrastructures lack proper accessibility standards."
Fourth Bullet: "You want to stop leaving money on the table and learn how to position your organisation to tap into a $13 trillion global market."
The right half of the banner shows a group of five smiling professionals standing side-by-side, framed within a large, fluid, wave-like cutout. The group consists of three men and two women wearing business-casual attire, including button-down shirts and blazers, posed against a glass partition with a faint dot pattern.

The conversations taking place across our June 2026 events are designed specifically to help leaders, HR teams, DEI professionals, marketers, digital teams, and decision-makers understand what accessibility looks like in practice, how to implement meaningful changes, and how to build organisations that are both inclusive and commercially resilient.

Accessibility is not a trend. It is a long-term business priority, a growth opportunity, and a reflection of the kind of organisations we want to build for the future.

The disabled market is waiting for your organisation to serve them. The question is: are you ready to serve that market or prefer to wait and continue losing money every month?
