The Good Access Calendar: What’s On in September 2026

Good Access Explains, our free weekly LinkedIn Live series returns, plus info on our in-person seminar in Reigate.

September always brings a sense of renewal.

After the summer holidays, children return to school, teams reconnect, calendars quickly fill with meetings, projects move back into full swing, and organisations begin planning for the final quarter of the year. It is the perfect time to reset priorities, embrace fresh ideas, and build momentum for the months ahead.

At Good Access, we believe there is no better moment to put accessibility back at the top of the agenda.

The decisions organisations make during this busy season will shape the experiences of employees, customers, and communities for months and years to come. Whether you are reviewing workplace policies, developing new digital products, planning marketing campaigns, or strengthening your organisational culture, accessibility should never be an afterthought. It should be built in from the very beginning

That’s why we have prepared our Good Access Calendar for September 2026, bringing together a series of practical events designed to help organisations create more accessible workplaces, services, communications, and customer experiences.

This month includes five LinkedIn Live sessions, an in-person accessibility seminar in Reigate, and several Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training open sessions across the UK.

This is an event poster with a cobalt blue background featuring decorative peach and light blue circles in the corners. "September Events" appears in a large white text box in the top left beside the Good Access Calendar logo.
Each event is displayed inside a rounded cream-coloured box showing the date, event title, location, and whether it is online or in person.
The events listed are:
+ 1st September — Good Access Explained: Why Your Accessibility Policy Isn't Changing Anything - Online
+ 8th September — Good Access Explained: Why Most Business Presentations Exclude People Before Slide 2 - Online
+ 15th September — Good Access Explained: Why Your Brand Colours Might Be Costing You Customers - Online

The bottom of the poster displays the Good Access website.

Whether you are just beginning your accessibility journey or looking to accelerate existing initiatives, these events provide practical knowledge, expert insights, and real-world strategies that can help your organisation become more inclusive while strengthening business performance.

Accessibility is no longer simply about compliance. It is about innovation, competitive advantage, attracting talent, improving customer experiences, and creating organisations where everyone can thrive.

We hope this month’s calendar inspires more organisations to take the next step towards accessibility and inclusion. We look forward to seeing companies, leaders, and professionals from every sector joining the conversation and turning accessibility into meaningful action.

Good Access Explained returns this September

Accessibility doesn’t need to be complicated.

That’s the philosophy behind Good Access Explained, our free weekly LinkedIn Live series designed to help organisations understand accessibility through practical business examples rather than technical jargon.

Every Tuesday at 10:00 am BST, we will explore one topic that organisations frequently struggle with, sharing practical advice, real examples, and straightforward actions that can immediately improve accessibility.

Whether you work in HR, marketing, communications, leadership, digital, customer experience, or operations, these sessions are designed to help you make accessibility part of everyday business.

In the centre, a woman with curly dark hair and glasses stands with her arms raised and palms open, surrounded by five accessibility-themed session topics displayed in white text boxes:
> 1st of September: Why Your Accessibility Policy Isn't Changing Anything
> 8th of September — Why Most Business Presentations Exclude People Before the Second Slide.
> 15th of September — Why Your Brand Colours Might Be Costing You Customers.
> 22nd of September — Why Accessibility Programmes Fail in the Real World (And Where They Succeed).
> 29th of September — The European Accessibility Act: Risk, Revenue and Competitive Advantage.
The background is light pink with a subtle gradient behind the woman.

Join us throughout September at 10:00 am BST on LinkedIn

Each session is free to attend and streamed live on LinkedIn, making it easy for professionals across every industry to join the conversation.

We hope you will register for as many sessions as possible, as we would love to see you there!

In-person event at Reigate on Wednesday, 30th of September: The rise of inclusive companies

This is an event poster with a light orange background and the details of the session.
At the top part of the image we see that it's an in-person seminar in Reigate with a map icon.
In the middle of the image it reads the title of the event: "The rise of inclusive companies".
Underneath the subtitle "How to make your workplace more accessible".
Below the title and subtitle we see a headshot of the speaker: Heike Jord Knit, CEO and Co-Founder of Good Access as well as the logo of Good Access.
On the bottom right corner we see a drawing of the Old Town Hall of Reigate.

Did you know that…?

  • 62% of employees would reject a job offer from an organisation that isn’t inclusive.
  • UK retailers lose up to £17 billion a year by failing to meet the needs of shoppers with disabilities.

In this 2-hour session, Heike J. Knip, CEO of Good Access, will talk about this and will present how organisations can make their workplace more accessible for everyone.

Rather than viewing accessibility as a compliance exercise, attendees will discover how accessible workplaces improve productivity, innovation, employee engagement, recruitment, customer loyalty, and long-term business growth.

When? On Wednesday 30th of September 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM BST

Where? At the Reigate Community Centre, High Street, Reigate RH2 9AE. The centre is behind Reigate Methodist Church, which was built between two older buildings, so it doesn’t have a street number, but the nearest is 53 High Street

Who should attend?

The conversations taking place across our June events are designed specifically to help leaders, HR teams, DEI professionals, marketers, digital teams, and decision-makers understand what accessibility looks like in practice, how to implement meaningful changes, and how to build organisations that are both inclusive and commercially resilient.

Accessibility is not a trend. It is a long-term business priority, a growth opportunity, and a reflection of the kind of organisations we want to build for the future.

The disabled market is waiting for your organisation to serve them. The question is: are you ready to serve that market or prefer to wait and continue losing money every month?

A landscape-oriented presentation slide titled "Is this for me?" features the subtitle "Are you a leader who knows equity = profit?" in blue text at the top left. The slide background is light blue, accented by curved abstract shapes in pale pink and dark blue along the right and bottom-right edges. The left portion contains a text-based "This is for you if..." section with four bullet points detailed in a small, sans-serif font: First Bullet: "You are losing top-tier candidates because your digital recruitment tools or physical interview spaces accidentally filter out disabled talent before day one." Second Bullet: "You are burning time and budget on late-stage project redesigns and alignment fixes that could be cut by 75% by embedding inclusive design early." Third Bullet: "You are locking your own staff out of core workflows because your internal systems, portals, or office infrastructures lack proper accessibility standards." Fourth Bullet: "You want to stop leaving money on the table and learn how to position your organisation to tap into a $13 trillion global market." The right half of the banner shows a group of five smiling professionals standing side-by-side, framed within a large, fluid, wave-like cutout. The group consists of three men and two women wearing business-casual attire, including button-down shirts and blazers, posed against a glass partition with a faint dot pattern.

In-person Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training – Open sessions

In all these three sessions we will talk about the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism and why it is essential for social care & health professionals to provide safe, compassionate, and informed care. The schedule is as follows:

  • Learning Disability from 9:00 am to 12:30 PM BST
  • Autism from 1:30 to 5:00 pm BST

One person, wearing a pink hoodie and a matching cap, has their arm around another person wearing a bright yellow padded jacket, a grey beanie hat, and large over-ear headphones. Both appear relaxed and happy, conveying a sense of connection and inclusion. At the top of the image, bold text reads: “Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training: Training locations near you.” On the left-hand side, additional text states: “Scan the QR code to book a call with our team". Below we have the QR code, TGCC logo and the Oliver's Campaign logo.

Making accessibility part of business as usual

As organisations settle back into their routines after the summer, September offers the perfect opportunity to take a fresh look at how accessibility is embedded across your workplace.

The strongest organisations don’t treat accessibility as a one-off initiative or an annual compliance exercise. They make it part of everyday decision-making: from recruitment and internal communications to product design, customer service, digital experiences, leadership, and strategy.

Every accessible presentation delivered, every inclusive recruitment process introduced, every policy reviewed, and every employee empowered contributes to a stronger, more resilient organisation.

We hope this month’s events inspire you to take that next step.

Whether you join us online or in person, we are looking forward to helping even more organisations create workplaces, services, and experiences that work for everyone.

Because accessibility isn’t just good practice. It’s good business
