The Growth of Accessible Companies: 2025 in Numbers

Where real stories meet expert insight

As 2025 ends, we’re reflecting on how The Good Consulting Company (TGCC) has helped organisations turn good intentions into real impact through accessibility and inclusion. For our team, accessibility isn’t just about compliance – it’s about making sure nobody’s left out in this diverse world we live in. This year, we’ve had the privilege of helping businesses make inclusion a reality, and we’re excited to share some of the highlights.

Why Accessibility Matters: The Rise of Inclusive Companies

Inclusivity doesn’t just happen. It’s built with care and intention. Accessibility isn’t just about meeting standards. It’s about making sure nobody’s left out.

This is our motto and that belief guides everything we do. But this should not only be important for us but for all companies out there, really. Accessibility is a business imperative and has never been clearer. Disabled people represent £446 billion a year in spending power in the UK alone. These figures are based on 2023–2024 data. Of course, the global impact is even greater!

A blue background infographic with white and coral-orange graphic elements. On the left side, there is a large abstract wave-shaped coral-orange line that curves from the top left toward the centre. In the lower left area, there are multiple overlapping circular icons in light blue and coral, each containing a black dollar symbol, representing money and spending power. At the top centre-left, white text reads: “$8+ trillion a year disabled spending power worldwide.” Below that, centred near the top, white text reads: “1.8 Billion disabled people worldwide.” Underneath, white text reads: “17% of the world’s population.” To represent this sentence, there is a photograph of the Earth positioned in the top right corner, with approximately 17% of it highlighted in coral-orange. Finally, in the lower right area, a white text reads: “£446 billion a year purple pound in UK.” Beneath this, smaller white text explains: “The Purple Pound is the collective spending power of disabled people and their households, representing a huge, often untapped, market for businesses.” Going with this text we have a small coral-orange shopping bag icon with a pound symbol is shown next to the UK spending power text.

Figures clearly show the growing influence of the disability market, which is a huge opportunity for companies to unlock and adapt their ways of working to facilitate a better customer experience for disabled people. This people deserves to be seen, supported, and treated equitably, and companies that recognise this are already reaping the benefits.

Yet, these figures are likely an underestimate, as nearly 76% of employees with disabilities do not fully disclose their disability. This means that organisations often make decisions using incomplete data. Therefore, the opportunity and responsibility to act is far greater than many people realise. This is why businesses can no longer afford to be passive observers. To stay competitive, companies must adopt accessible and inclusive practices, because:

The Good Consulting Company Growth in 2025

2025 brought new challenges and exciting opportunities that allowed us to expand our consulting services into global corporate accessibility projects. We partnered with organisations across different sectors, ranging from NHS healthcare teams to local councils, to multinational companies in real estate operating in 80+ countries. We tailored training programmes to their needs and created projects to support our clients in transforming their processes to be more accessible, for instance, improving their digital communications, facilities, or internal systems. All in all, at TGCC we help you identify the business challenge and adapt our work to your organisation’s needs, helping you become more inclusive.

We’re incredibly proud of the practical impact we delivered in 2025. Together with our clients, we:

  • Trained 6,000+ professionals
  • Delivered 500+ training sessions, including:
  • 400+ online
  • 100+ in person across the UK
  • Grew our training team from 6 to nearly 60 accessibility specialists

This growth reflects not just increased demand but a shared belief that accessibility matters. And we’re honoured to contribute to that shift.

On the top left, curved human-like shapes suggest they are following a training session, with text above reading “6,000+ professionals trained.” On the right, another curved human-like shape appears next to text a whiteboard with the following text below: “500+ training sessions delivered,” with smaller text “400+ online” and “100+ in person across the UK.” Bottom left text states that all sessions are led by disabled, neurodivergent, and learning disabled trainers. Finally, the bottom right shows same style abstract shapes with glasses beside the text “6 to 60 growth of our team of accessibility specialists.

TGCC Goes International: Looking Ahead to 2026

In 2026, our main focus will be on neurodivergence and disabilities, two areas deeply interconnected and essential to building equitable workplaces. We’ll continue supporting employers, HR teams, public-sector organisations, and leaders across industries as they learn how to embed accessibility into their culture and operations.

On the top center a black text that says "Plenty of training webinars In -Person events in UK and abroad" Finally, on the bottom of the image a big black title that reads "First international event in Spring 2026. Groningen, The Netherlands"

Our 2026 events calendar will include a rich mix of online and in person sessions. You can already look forward to:

  • A spring event in Groningen, The Netherlands.
  • A special kickoff webinar: “Real-World Examples to Make Accessibility a Reality”, showcasing how TGCC supports organisations with inclusive recruitment, accessible marketing, customer experience improvements, internal systems optimisation, and more.

These are just a few examples, with more updates coming soon, including some exciting updates on our global expansion later in the year.

Making Real Change, Together

This all sounds great, but how do we do it? It’s a question we’re often asked. The answer is simple: we start by getting to know you

Your organisation’s needs, culture, ways of working, and challenges —both immediate and long-term— shape everything we do. We work collaboratively, designing practical solutions that make your company more accessible without adding unnecessary burden to your teams.

We invite you to explore our work on our new website and see how other organisations have made meaningful progress with TGCC by their side.

We’re also excited to share that our own office complex is currently under construction, designed from the ground up to enable accessible events and inclusive workspaces. More news on this will come soon.
